Privacy Policy

When you use RankedSpeak, we collect:

• Account information — email address and username when you sign up.
• Voice recordings — audio you record within the app for evaluation. Recordings are processed by our AI and stored temporarily. You can delete them at any time.
• Usage data — app interactions, feature usage, and performance metrics to improve the product.
• Device information — device type and OS version for compatibility purposes.

• To evaluate your speech recordings using AI and return scores
• To manage your account and matchmaking
• To send product updates if you opted into our waitlist
• To detect and prevent abuse

When you record a speech in RankedSpeak, the audio is uploaded to our servers and then sent to Google Gemini (operated by Google LLC) for transcription and scoring. The AI returns a score across five categories — clarity, flow, structure, substance, and delivery — plus a written transcript and feedback.

What is sent: the raw audio file and the prompt text. We do not send your username, email, or any other identifier alongside the recording.

How long it's kept: recordings are retained for up to 90 days so you can revisit your past attempts and so duels can be re-scored if a dispute is raised. After 90 days they are deleted automatically. You can delete any individual recording, or your entire account, from the app at any time.

Training: Google has confirmed that prompts and audio sent to the Gemini API are not used to train or improve their models. Your speech is not used to fine-tune any AI system, by us or by Google.

RankedSpeak is a competitive speech app, and certain information is shown publicly to other users so the ranked experience can work:

• Username, ELO, rank, level, and XP — visible on the global leaderboard and in any duel you participate in.
• Scores from ranked duels — visible to your opponent on the duel results screen.
• Profile stats (streak, total duels, win rate) — visible inside duel results to your opponent.

Your email address, phone number, audio recordings, and transcripts are never shared publicly or shown to other users. By creating an account, you consent to your username and the metrics above being uploaded to our servers and shown on the public leaderboard. You can request account deletion at any time from inside the app, which removes your username and scores from the leaderboard.

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication provider
• Google Gemini — AI speech evaluation
• PostHog — product analytics (anonymized)
• RevenueCat — subscription management

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (use the delete account option in settings)
• Object to processing of your data

RankedSpeak lets users compete in duels and rooms where they can hear each other's recorded speeches. To keep the community safe, we provide tools to report and block other users.

Reporting:from any duel or room, tap the “...” menu on another user to file a report. You can flag hate speech, harassment, sexual or violent content, spam, impersonation, content from a suspected minor, or anything else that doesn't belong. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours by our moderation team.

Blocking: blocking a user prevents them from being matched with you in ranked duels and removes their content from your view. You can manage your block list under Settings → Safety → Blocked Users.

Enforcement: users found to violate our community guidelines may have content removed, accounts suspended, or accounts permanently banned. We cooperate with law enforcement when required by applicable law.
